Accessing Pictures on Rugged Devices

There are two ways to access pictures on the device:

Option 1: take a photo using the device camera

1. Choose Menu > Edit Mode.
2. Press and hold on the button. A menu will open.
3. Choose Edit Button to display the Button Properties.
4. From the Button Properties, choose Camera.
5. Tap the camera button to take the photo.
6. Tap the Tick button to confirm that you are happy to use that photo
7. Enter a name for the image and choose Save.

Option 2: transfer an image from your computer to the device

1. Attach the device to your computer using the USB cable provided.
2. Give the device a moment to connect to the computer. The device screen will display “Transfer Mode”, and the computer will display a window with several options.
3. Click “Open device to view files”. The computer will view the device as an external drive.
4. Copy the appropriate images from the computer to your device’s Pictures folder or from the device to the appropriate folder on the computer.
5. Unplug the USB cable.
6. Now, when editing a button on the device, choose “Import” to view all of the pictures saved on the device

Regarding the spelling, are you referring to the spelling on some of the buttons? E.g. “Mom”, “Color”. If so, yes the default LAMP Words for Life vocabulary was developed in America and so there are American spellings in the vocabulary. You can edit the buttons to edit the label and message so that the buttons are using the Australian English spellings.
